The location of this hostel was excellent, just a short walk from the town and close to the Waitomo Caves. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lovely trees and bush that made for a peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, the lady at reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing great recommendations for sights and places to eat. The facilities were generally clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The common room was spacious and brightly lit, creating a comfortable space to relax.
That the private rooms were a bit small, and the WiFi was patchy in some areas. The shower pressure was also not the best, and some cubicles could have used a thorough clean.

I had a fantastic time staying at Junohall Backpackers. The cozy mountain challet feel gave it a unique ambiance. The kitchen was well-stocked and tidy, with handy appliances like a steamer and rice cooker. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I can't wait to try out the pool during the summer. Despite a minor issue with the reception sign being obscured, the overall experience was enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the region.

Our stay at Junohall Backpackers was fantastic! The check-in process was seamless, with our room key waiting for us upon arrival. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room tidy and warm, thanks to the complimentary heater. The lockers in the mixed dorm provided peace of mind, and the plug points in the lockers were a thoughtful touch. The hostel's location was great, close to amenities and the Waitomo Caves. The cozy lounge with a fire and the adorable lambs roaming outside added to the charming atmosphere. The kitchen had all the necessities, and the washing machine and dryer were efficient. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel at home. Although the fridges could have been cleaner and the reception area was situated in the lounge, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience we had. We highly recommend Junohall Backpackers for its cozy, friendly vibe and excellent value for money. we had a great stay and would gladly return.
